The free application, now available on the Android Market, bolsters Domino's mobile offerings which already include apps for Apple's iOS platform and mobile-friendly websites.
Domino's app '” designed, and according to the company, built in Australia '” allows users to order pizza from their mobile device, as well as customise it, track delivery of it and even pay for it.
There's also a number of Android-specific features not seen in its iOS counterpart, including the ability to use GPS to navigate to pick up points, latest offer and Pizza Tracker widget and live updates in the Android status bar as an order progresses.
'Thanks to the flexibility of the Android operating system we have been able to add additional features to enhance the 'Domino's store in your pocket' experience the App provides,' Domino's CEO Don Meij said.
'We are excited by today's launch of Domino's Android App, a milestone in our digital commitment to ensure our customers can order anywhere, anytime.'
So far the app has managed to gain seven 5-star reviews, with one commenting that the app is 'awesome' while another said they'll change from their pizza provider to Domino's because of the company's Android support.
'Dominos will get some orders from me simply because they actualy[sic] support the android community,' they said.
Domino's has placed a real emphasis on mobile ordering, saying last month during its financial results call that it expected it to eventually eat into traditional retail pizza sales.
The app requires version 2.1 of Android or above.
