Chinese smartphone vendor OPPO will become the second manufacturer to release a 5G device in Australia, with the OPPO Reno 5G to go on sale on 11 June through Telstra and JB Hi-FI outlets.

Consumers who pre-order the device will receive a bonus set of BOSE QuietComfort 35 II wireless comfort headphones which cost $499.95. Pre-orders opened on 31 May.

The device will cost $1499, a statement from the company said. Those who purchase the device when it become available on 11 June will get a set of Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Earphones valued at $299.95.

OPPO Australia said in a statement that the Reno 5G would feature its Ultra Night Mode 2.0, a revolving pop-up camera, 10x hybrid zoom and a 48-megapixel camera with wide angle, portrait and telephoto lenses.

The Reno is also available as a 4G model for $1199 from 11 June through Telstra, JB HiFi, The GoodGuys, Officeworks, Mobileciti, Woolworths Mobile, Wireless1 and Telechoice. A set of Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Earphones valued at $299.95 is also included.
