OPPO announces entry into wearables, wireless earbuds markets

Chinese smartphone maker OPPO has broadened its product range and entered the market for wearables and wireless earbuds.

The company said in a statement that it had launched two smartwatches and three wireless earphone models, at differing prices.

The 46mm OPPO Watch will sell for $549 and the 41mm watch for $449. The Enco wireless earphone models will sell for $149 (W11), $199 (W31) and $249 (W51).

w11 earbudsThe company also said it would be opening a new online wearables and accessories store which would sell all the products announced today.

The 46mm watch used a 3D flexible hyperboloid display, which is claimed to be typically reserved for smartphones.

It has a 1.91-inch AMOLED screen with a 72.76% screen-to-body ratio, 402 x 476 resolution, and 326ppi density for extra detail, with a "ultra-frameless" design.

The Enco W11 (seen on right) can be used for five hours of music playback, and is claimed to have 20 hours of battery with the charge case. It has IP55 dust and water resistance and intelligent touch controls.

The Enco W31 (seen left, below) is claimed to have binaural simultaneous low-latency transmission, delivering sound to the left and right ears simultaneously with minimal delay and allowing for up to 18.5 hours of music playback with the charging case.

The Enco W51 is claimed to be the first active noise cancellation true wireless earphones from the brand, and has wireless charging, professional audio quality, ultra-low latency, and intelligent touch controls.

w31 earbudsThe watches will be sold from 29 September with the 46mm model available in black and glossy gold while the 41mm watch will be on sale in black and pink gold at OPPO, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Kogan, Bing Lee, MobileCiti and Amazon.

The wireless earphones will be sold from 6 October with the W11 available in white and the W31 available in Black, both only from the OPPO online store.

The W51 will be available in starry blue and white at OPPO, Kogan, Bing Lee, MobileCiti and Amazon.
