Aldi Mobile has slashed the data allowance on its unlimited prepaid plan from 5GB to 2.5GB per month, but made no changes to the price.
The move come two months after the telco struck a deal directly with Telstra wholesale following the demise of ispONE, which lost a court case and was forced to end its agreements with both Kogan and Aldi.
Kogan no longer operates, but Aldi was thrown a lifeline by Telstra wholesale, which runs Aldi's mobile service. It's unclear if Telstra dictated this plan change or if Aldi was forced to make the move to remain viable.
Aldi Mobile's remaning two pay as you go plans, the $15 and $30 options, along with its $15, 2GB data-only plan for tablet devices are all unchanged, for now.
