The Melbourne launch of the ride-sharing platform follows launches in Perth and Sydney earlier this year.
To mark the Melbourne launch, Ola, dubbed one of the world’s largest ride-sharing platforms, is offering customers free rides from today, with the app downloaded either from Google Play, or iOS App Store.
According to Ola, it continues to receive a positive response from driver-partners with more than 15,000 registrations across Australia. It offers driver-partners a 7.5% introductory commission rate and daily payments.
"We hope customers and driver-partners continue to share their feedback to help us improve our service, as we continue on our journey to provide Australia with the best rideshare experience possible.”
Ola says it is developing a number of new initiatives for its customers and driver-partners, including updates to the Ola app, and building a local support team that will help build a better ride-share experience.
