Coca-Cola releases new app for smartphones, tablets

By

Coca-Cola Amatil has released a new app for smartphones and tablets which allows registered Australian customers to order the food and beverage company's range of products and services.

The myCCA on the move app, which won the 2011 Australian Mobile Line of Business Award, was launched into the Android market in March, and can now be downloaded free from Google Play for all Android technology, and also for free for iPhones and iPads from the App Store.

CCA says the app is an alternative to its traditional sales representative and customer centre channels, enabling more choice and flexibility for customers, and has a number of helpful features including the 'smart order' tool which allows customers to quickly access their recent order history and easily place a new order. Other features of the app include 'store specials', which offers customers personalised deals and promotions, and an inbuilt barcode scanner that allows customers to easily scan products and add them directly into their shopping cart.
