Mahindra Satyam goes for growth in Australia, NZ market

Global business consulting and IT services company, Mahindra Satyam, has flagged its intention to pursue rapid growth in the Australian, New Zealand and Middle East markets with the appointment of a new head of its ANZ business.

Rohit Gandhi, Senior Vice President Asia-Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa, for Mahindra Satyam, announced the appointment of Bobby Gupta as Head of ANZ operations, and said that both the ANZ and Middle East & Africa(MEA) markets were “high-growth opportunities for Mahindra Satyam, after we complete our merger with Tech Mahindra.”

“We sense traction from clients, prospects and partners that gives us a great reason to lend more focus here.”

Gandhi said that Gupta would be replaced in the MENA region by 20-plus year industry veteran, G B Kumar. He said Gupta was taking over the Australian operation after “successfully transforming the MENA operations.”

“His dynamic leadership at MENA resulted in a series of new logo wins, big deals, and opening up of new geographical markets. Bobby studied & worked in Australia for several years and joined Mahindra Satyam from IBM in 2009. In his new role at ANZ, he will be tasked with building on one-of-the largest English-speaking market for Mahindra Satyam which has substantive presence.”

“I am confident that the inclusion of Bobby and Kumar into the leadership will help us achieve our goals for Mission 2015.”
