NetSuite taps Thompson for APJ role

By

Cloud accounting, ERP and commerce provider NetSuite has appointed Lee Thompson as senior vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan.

"Lee's proven track record in achieving explosive sales growth within the region makes him a perfect fit for NetSuite, as we look to continue to grow within the Asia Pacific region," said president of worldwide sales and distribution Marc Huffman.

"Asia Pacific is a key revenue-generating engine for NetSuite and a region in which we plan to make ongoing significant investments.

"Under Lee's leadership, we expect to see strong growth across all of our three Asia Pacific business divisions - Asia, Australia/New Zealand and Japan."

Thompson brings more than 20 years of sales leadership experience to NetSuite, working for high tech companies including TechnologyOne, Oracle and Salesforce.com.

Before joining NetSuite, Thompson was operating officer at TechnologyOne. He was previously senior vice president of corporate sales at Salesforce Asia Pacific, and also spent 12 years at Oracle.

Earlier in his career Thompson held senior managerial positions at Borland, Artisoft and Pilot Software.
