Microsoft's strategic partners for IoT are BizData, CDM, Empire, Ignia, Mexia, Oakton, MOQDigital, RAMP and Readify.
The company will be investing in these partners, and providing technical and sales training as well as granting access to its specialist teams and innovation centres.
"Each of the partners selected - BizData, CDM, Empire, Ignia, Mexia, Oakton, MOQDigital, RAMP and Readify - is already working with clients in vertical markets including manufacturing, retail, health and defence," said Microsoft Australia IoT lead Lee Hickin.
The companies were selected because they had shown an understanding of the depth of the transformation that is being wrought by the acceleration of IoT, and by the level of engagement they have in providing IoT solutions for clients, he explained.
They are already delivering real IoT projects with clients, he added, some have hired data scientists and others have purchased device companies.
