Google Voice Actions. They allow you to talk to your phone (and to Google) instead of typing to find things around you, take action, fetch your stuff and get the right information when you need it.
Unsurprisingly, it’s described as a great way to access Google for helpful assistance throughout your day.
Almost everyone can use Google’s Voice Actions - they’re available in Google’s iPhone or iPad app, and they’re in Chrome and Chromebooks, but if you have an Android smartphone you can naturally expect some enhanced in-app features.
Australian real estate app Domain says it is ‘always looking for ways to make the house hunting journey easier’ for its users, so says it ‘worked with Google to introduce a really fun and helpful Voice Action feature within the Domain app.’
Domain gives an example that you’re walking down a nice street and suddenly, you’re wondering what’s for sale or for rent in the area.
Details below, please read on.
Now you can simply ask Google to find the information you need on Domain.
Android users just need to say “OK Google”, then you can ask things like:
- Show me properties / homes / houses near me on Domain
- Show me apartments / flats / studios near me on Domain
- Show me rentals near me on Domain
Google is even smart enough to help you take the next step in the house hunting journey. You can ask things like:
- Show me inspections today on Domain
- Show me open homes on Domain next weekend
- Show me open houses on Domain in the next seven days
For those using ‘Google Now’ cards, ‘Now Cards’ are also integrated.
Here’s Domain’s video showing Voice Actions at work:
Domain says this new functionality ‘is just one of the ways we are making finding a home a little bit easier, and a lot more fun.’
