Telstra offers new S6 and S6 edge colours, too

A few days after Samsung announced new S6 and edge colours, and after Vodafone was first to offer them, Telstra now offers them too.

Earlier this week Samsung announced new colours for the S6 and S6 edge smartphones, its top-end smartphone with desires to kill the iPhone, other Android phones and Lumia Windows Phones.

Samsung has the S6 in two models - one with a ‘flat’ screen dubbed the S6, while the S6 edge has curved left and right hand sides when the phone is held vertically.

There is some debate as to exactly how much extra utility the edges deliver, seeing as the S6 edge isn’t as capable as the edge of the Galaxy Note edge, but the effect of twin edges is undeniably cool, and something that no other smartphone can offer.

On top of that, Samsung could easily deliver both edges more utility via a software update, so hopefully Samsung is doing just that.

But back to the new colours. Vodafone was first to announce pre-availability of the new colours, as iTWire wrote about here, and now Telstra has joined in the colourful fun.

Telstra says its S6 and S6 edge colour range will launch on Thursday 18 June 2015, with Gold Platinum for both the S6 or S6 edge, and Blue Topaz for the S6.

They’ll be available on Telstra’s new ‘Go Mobile and Go Business Mobile’ plans, with Telstra also offering the ‘choice of a bonus 12-month NRL Digital Pass, or AFL Live Pass, or a bonus 6-month Presto subscription’, although separate data charges may apple.

Naturally, you can pre-order from this Telstra website or you can buy in store from 18 June.
