Set to arrive on December 20, one day ahead of the December 19 release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, we're told this new collaboration "will unite two Galaxies – a galaxy far, far away, and the Samsung Galaxy – to generate excitement for the final installment in the Skywalker saga" - meaning ticket sales, merchandise sales and Galaxy Note10+ sales.
To commemorate this event, Samsung said its special edition Galaxy Note 10+ features "Star Wars-inspired design elements and digital content. This special edition device will be bundled with a Star Wars themed Galaxy Note10+ with red S Pen, matching Galaxy Buds, a specially designed cover and a metal badge as a collector’s item."
Given Kylo Ren is a master of the Dark Side of the force, unless the movie ends up somehow proving otherwise, Samsung seems to be dabbling in the dark arts, leaving light side force fans wondering where the Rey-inspired version of the Note10+ is, with a pen either in the green coloured lightsaber she uses, or the blue colour that Luke used - one which came from his father, the original Skywalker, who trailers have shown will be making an "impressive" appearance in the film.
Well, we're told the bundle "also comes with exclusive Star Wars-themed content including wallpapers, themes, stickers, animations, icons and sounds for Australian fans to enjoy."
We're also reminded that "with limted units produced worldwide, The Galaxy Note10+ Star Wars Special Edition is truly limited. Pre-orders will begin 25 November at the Samsung online and retail stores and select retailers, with in-store and online availability from 12 December unless already sold out. The special edition set will be available for purchase at a retail price of $1,999".
The news follows Lucasfilm's announcement in October of Samsung having joined forces with the Star Wars empire to engage its "passionate users with its best devices and the Galaxy brand in a new and exciting way."
We're further reminded that "the Galaxy Note10+ Star Wars Special Edition adds to the collaboration between Samsung and Lucasfilm which includes the recently launched holiday campaign film, celebrating the theatrical release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker."
As you'd expect, Samsung implies the force has already been very strong for the notable Galaxy Note10 range, having "empowered millions of people around the world to be more productive and unleash their creativity", given that the Note10+ plus is a "state-of-the-art mobile device" that "combines stunning design and powerful performance with productive tools and pro-grade camera technology that help users make the most of every moment".
Indeed, as Samsung notes, by releasing the Star Wars Special Edition, the company "hopes to inspire Star Wars fans worldwide to make the most of every moment" - no doubt by "giving in to your feelings" and making a Note10+ purchase!
