October 2019 will be a very busy month.
Google will launch its new Pixels on 9 October, which is 10 October in Australia, while Microsoft will launch new Surface models on 2 October; again this will be 3 October in Australia.
There's also the rumour that Apple will launch new iPads, a new MacBook and a new Mac mini at an as-yet unannounced special event in October, but Apple could just as easily release those devices via press release – it has done both in the past.
So, while Apple's event is yet unknown, just as Google's and Microsoft's are official, we do know that Samsung's next Galaxy event is official, too.
"Capture the fun with Samsung as the company celebrates the launch of the new device with A Galaxy Event on October 11, 2018.
Whether it's the long-rumoured Samsung foldable smartphone is unknown – and it also seems unlikely given the Note9 has only just launched a few weeks ago.
I've seen speculation online that it might be something to do with 4x zoom, or 4x cameras, but again, these would be on a device that would compete with the Galaxy Note9 and Galaxy S9.
It could be a new camera phone – Samsung has done that in the past. Or perhaps a new tablet, although again, Samsung only just launched the Tab S4, so you'd have to imagine it's something completely different to all of these things yet still some must-have gadget we'll all want.
Whatever it is, is a mystery, 11 October is less than a month away, so we'll find out soon enough!
