HMD CEO down under to celebrate flagship Nokia 8’s retail arrival

Florian Seiche, HMD’s global chief executive, is in Australia to attend a series of “consumer activations” of the new Nokia 8 in Melbourne, Sydney and then Brisbane over the next three weeks.

To celebrate HMD Global’s flagship handset, the Nokia 8, hitting Australian retailers' shelves, HMD is hosting a series of “consumer activations”.

These special “activations” will see a massive 3D art display installed in shopping centres – giving consumer their first experience of the phone’s #Bothie feature, encouraging Aussies to be less #Selfie and more #Bothie.

You can see an examples of this 3D art display in the four images below, two of which feature Seiche, and two of which feature a young “millennial” lady.

Interview opportunities with Seiche have been made available to journalists, where he will answer questions, and can speak to Nokia 8’s unique features and its anticipated performance as it takes on local smartphone market leaders.

He’s also able to talk about the performance of Nokia's smartphones in market since June, and what else is in store for Nokia in Australia as Seiche has assumed command at the helm of HMD global.

In light of this, I’ve asked for a video interview over Skype tomorrow (Thursday, 7 September), seeing as I will be in a different state to Seiche at the time, and I look forward to asking him these and other questions I have prepared.

However, if you want to see these 3D art installations, presumably get a chance to meet Seiche (although I’ve no confirmation of that), take some selfies, some bothies and take a close-up look at the new Nokia 8 flagship, then here are the times and dates on offer:
