eBay brings Plus Weekend back for second annual 48-hour shopathon

Billed as its "game-changing shopping event", eBay's Plus Weekend promises that it's back "better than ever" with up to 90% off millions of new items for 48 hours from 22 June until 24 June.

Whether it's a frenzy of clicks, or flash sales at retail and online stores, Aussies love a bargain and cheaper prices.

eBay's attempt to cash in on this phenomenon, which saves its members cash, is called Plus Weekend, but to take part, you need to be a member of eBay Plus, which after a 30-day trial, costs $49 per year.

Inclusions with the plan besides the annual Plus shopping weekend, of which details are below, include free delivery and free returns on Plus items, double flybuys points, free delivery over $49 from Coles, premium customer service and exclusive deals.

This Plus Weekend, eBay says it is "offering the biggest savings and best deals ever seen on the site".

The company continues, stating: "During Plus Weekend, eBay will announce 45 mega deals, offering up to 90% off on the latest products and huge savings on brands such as Dyson, Samsung and Sony.

"Aussies signed up to the program will receive 15% off millions of additional items from retailers including Myer, Big W and Baby Bunting. What’s more, in an eBay first, there will also be 8 deals that are just 99 cents."

eBay Australia’s Julie Nestor said, “We’re excited to bring back Plus Weekend and reward our community of eBay shoppers with deals that are out of this world.

“Plus Weekend gives members the chance to get their hands on the biggest discounts from the best known brands, but make sure you get in quick, the mega deals are only while stocks last.”
