Networking equipment vendor D-Link ANZ has launched the DIR-X1560 AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 router, a new device that it claims is designed for those who are working and studying from home.

The company claimed the router would provide speeds of up to 1500Mbps and offered a simple way for upgrading a home network to Wi-Fi 6.

The device offers dual-band Wi-Fi with up to four simultaneous streams. It includes technologies like 1024 QAM to boost throughput by up to a quarter and 80MHz support for extended bandwidth.

The DIR-X1560 also has built-in power amplifiers and includes beam-forming features to increase the reach of a Wi-Fi network and minimise blackspots.

The router supports voice assistant capabilities and users can disable Wi-Fi access, check log-in credentials or reboot the system using Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant.
