Woolworths seeks Galaxy S10 sales with $250 off offer

A discount offer is in the offing at Woolworths, with a week-long special set to tempt you into pre-ordering your smartphone from a supermarket.

From 21 to 28 February, Woolworths says it is "offering $250 off the Samsung Galaxy S10 handset when a customer purchases or upgrades their device on any 24- or 36-month Woolworths Mobile Phone Plan."

The special offer also ensure you'll receive the same deal other outlets are touting, which is that you'll "also receive a bonus pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds valued at $249".

Of course, Woolworths wants you to be signed up to them for 24 or 36 months, and notes that "customers can purchase a Samsung Galaxy S10e for as little as $46.35 per month on a 36-month plan".

Obviously, the S10 and S10+ models will cost more and will thus have a higher monthly pricing plan, but that's only natural and the same with any telco or vendor.

Woolworths also states that "customers will also earn a bonus 15GB data upon activation and receive 20GB bonus school holiday data every three months. Woolworths Mobile customers will also receive a free 12-month Family Zone subscription, for parents who want to add a level of online security to their child's mobile phone".

Woolworths head of Mobile, James McMurrough, said; “Woolworths is all about making technology accessible for families.

“We are proud to be able to offer our customers the best deals on the newest mobile phones that hit the market, together with Woolworths Mobile Phone Plans, at supermarket prices.

“The $250 pre-order discount on the Galaxy S10 range and the bonus Galaxy Buds is one of the strongest offers available in Australia and will provide Woolworths customers the added flexibility and accessibility to stretch payments as long as 36 months."

The Samsung Galaxy S10 range can be pre-ordered online from now until 11:59pm on 28 February and will start shipping from 8 March.
