All will be official come 13 August 2015, which will be 14 August for Australians due to time-zone differences, whereupon the full details of Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy Note 5, will be known.
Samsung is still the biggest global Android smartphone maker, even if the company should also be looking at Windows 10 smartphones to launch later this year, too, and as such, there’s always a lot of interest whenever a new Samsung Galaxy S-series or Note-series smartphone is about to launch.
The Note series from Samsung has always had very large screens well over 5 inches in size, and a stylus that, with each iteration, gets smarter and more capable.
Naturally, it is expected to run the very latest Android Lollipop 5.1.1 OS, and which would get an update to Lollipop’s sucessor, Android ‘M’.
Tech blogger Evan Blass, known for gadget leaks, unveiled in a tweet what he says the Note 5 specs are: ‘Rains->Pours. Samsung Noble (SM-N920/self-reported): Exynos 7420 SoC (4x2.1GHz+4x1.5GHz), 5.66" 2560x1440, 4GB/32GB, 16MP/5MP, 5.1.1, no SD.’
Whether consumers will be annoyed by the SD slot’s continued removal, as some S6 and S6 edge owners and users said they were is yet to be seen, as well as the configurations the Note 5 and any variants will come in - for example offer 64GB or 128GB storage as is the case with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
There are also expectations the Note 5 will offer US customers access to Samsung Pay, as is the case with the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge - although in the US only, as Samsung Pay let alone Apple Pay are still not accessible or avaialbe down under - yet.
The leaked Note 5 images from Droid-life do show the purported design and even the stylus, which appears to be one that uses a spring loaded effect to push the pen of its confines, well, pushed.

With less than a week to go before the news becomes official, there’s still time for some last minute leaks to arrive, although Evan Blass may have only been half the story.
No word yet either on whether and when new Gear VR headsets would be coming to support the new Note 5 - but we definiely expect them to be on the way.
More info when we get it!
