Australia ranks 50th for the average cost of a gigabyte of mobile data among 230 countries which were studied by the British website cable.co.uk. Data from 6313 mobile data plans was collected, prices were computed in US dollars and local currencies and the countries were ranked.

A survey from analytics software firm SAS and the Global Association of Risk Professionals has found 81% of risk professionals already see the value of artificial intelligence while more than half the surveyed firms feel they lack the skills needed to implement or maintain it.

Australia may be the cheapest place for broadband in the Oceania region but it ranks a lowly 84 globally. The cheapest broadband packages in 195 countries surveyed by the UK's Cable.co.uk site was in Ukraine and cost US$5 per month. The most expensive was in Mauritania, cost US$768.16 – and was slow, at just 0.7Mbps.
