The board of auDA, the body that administers the Australian domain namespace, will meet on Monday to consider policies proposed to govern the distribution of direct .au registration and also when to open it up for registration, something the organisation put off in April last year.

Australia's biggest telco Telstra has prevailed in a Federal Court trademark case against an energy firm known as Belong Energy which was founded late in 2018.

About a quarter of a million Australian domain names which once belonged to deregistered companies or expired ABNs have not been cancelled as per the current policy of auDA, the organisation managing the .au namespace, it has been claimed.
