Adobe AIR alpha for Linux

Proprietary technology doesn't always go down well with the Linux community, but Adobe is pressing ahead by offering an alpha version of its AIR rich Internet applications software for the open source operating system, along with an updated alpha of Flex Builder 3 for Linux.

Google Apps moving offline

The big drawback of Google Apps and other examples of software as a service is that when you lose the Internet connection, you also lose access to your data. But that problem is beginning to evaporate.

Microsoft beware, Apple is set to launch an assault on the world's biggest computer marketplace with plans to release a version of its new Leopard operating system for PCs. According to Apple insiders, the launch is set for sometime in Q3 of this year and a select group of Apple beta testers are reporting stunning results running Leopard across a range of OEM PC hardware.
