The competition regulator the ACCC has hauled Australia’s second largest telco Optus before the Federal Court, alleging the company misled customers about the need to move quickly from its existing HFC network to the National Broadband Network (NBN).

National accommodation services company Meriton Property Services, has been found by the Federal Court to have engaged in misleading or deceptive conduct online over its posting of reviews of its properties on the TripAdvisor website.

ACCC to appeal LG decision by Federal Court

The competition watchdog, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), is appealing against the High Court’s decision dismissing its allegations that LG Electronics made false or misleading representations to consumers about repair, replacement or refund rights in relation to faulty televisions.
