EFA gets behind global call for strong encryption

Non-profit, digital freedom and rights group, Electronic Frontiers Australia, has joined experts and organisations in more than 35 countries in asking world leaders to support strong encryption and to reject any law, policy, or mandate that would undermine digital security.

Electronic Frontiers Australia has called for warrants to be made mandatory in every case where the release of metadata, stored under the recently introduced laws, is sought.

Call for halt to introduction of ISP copyright code

The federal government has again been called on to stop the process of implementing an ISP copyright code.  The Internet users rights group Electronic Frontiers Australia has confirmed it wants the process to be halted, with its call coming in the wake of the introduction of new anti-piracy website blocking laws.
