The competition watchdog, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), is appealing against the High Court’s decision dismissing its allegations that LG Electronics made false or misleading representations to consumers about repair, replacement or refund rights in relation to faulty televisions.
Optus is compensating customers over its failure to reveal it was providing less data than it had advertised after the competition watchdog, the ACCC, accepted an undertaking from the telco to credit data back to consumers.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has filed suit in the Federal Court again Apple, accusing the company of making "false, misleading, or deceptive representations about consumers’ rights" under Australian Consumer Law.
