Telecommunications provider Vodafone Hutchison Australia has admitted it made false and misleading statements about its third-party direct carrier billing service and will pay damages to affected customers, the ACCC says.
Vodafone has become the second British telco to switch on 5G services in the country, unveiling a service in seven cities on Wednesday and saying it plans to expand to 27 cities in total across Europe.
Vodafone Hutchison Australia and TPG Telecom have taken action in the Federal Court, seeking orders that the proposed merger between the two companies will not have the effect, or likely effect, of substantially lessening competition.
