US orbital launch provider Rocket Lab has signed a contract with Australia’s Fleet Space Technologies to launch two satellites from its New Zealand launch site that will form the foundation of a global IoT communications constellation.
The Australian Space Agency has signed a statement of strategic intent with Sitael Australia, a designer and manufacturer of satellites, in a move aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and capability of Australia’s space industry.
A satellite jointly developed by UNSW Canberra Space and Defence Science and Technology has been operating on-orbit successfully for more than nine months and conducting experiments to pave the way for small spacecraft development in Australia.
