Australia’s telecommunications regulator, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), is backing reform of current regulatory safeguards in the telecommunications sector.

The non-profit digital freedoms and rights group representing Internet users, Electronic Frontiers Australia (EFA), has joined the throng of business and industry organisations lobbying the major political parties in the last hours of the federal election campaign.

Growing losses in its letter business has again hit Australia Post hard, with the business reporting group profits for the half year 2015 down by 56% on this time last year.
