Australia’s second largest telco Optus is preparing to build 16 new mobile sites as part of the NSW Government’s mobile black spot program at a total cost of $12 million, with half of the funding provided by Optus itself and half by the State Government.
Optus says completion of work on a new mobile site in Maddingley in Victoria will provide improved coverage for mobile users on the state’s rail network.
Residents in and around Dulong, Queensland, are now duly celebrating long awaited "new and improved mobile coverage", and it's all "thanks to the Coalition Government’s $220 million Mobile Black Spot Program".
