Australia’s IT industry is one of the worst business sectors when it comes to employing women, particularly at executive management level, with just 14% of women in the top positions.
Demand for executives in the ICT sector declined slightly in March compared to February as national demand across all industry sectors fell by 2%, with executive search firm EL Consult cautioning that Australia’s economy faces some “mild headwinds”.
The IT sector has been falling by the wayside in the executive demand stakes over recent times, with demand for execs falling in December and now January.
