Japanese ICT giant Fujitsu has signed a three-year contract with the Australian Department of Defence to provide desktop-related services for approximately 100,000 defence personnel across more than 450 locations around Australia.
Deakin University in Victoria is deploying AppSense environment manager to deliver improvements to desktop user experiences on its system and help significantly reduce profile corruption problems and reliance on group policy.
“We have really crossed the chasm from the desktop to the cloud. The transformation and move to the cloud is complete.” So said Tim Reed, CEO of online accounting software provider MYOB today when announcing a double-digit revenue increase for the 2013 business year to $247 million on the back of a rapid take-up of cloud services.
