US multinational data centre provider Equinix has cracked the champagne bottle on its fourth Australian data centre at a new US$60 million facility in Melbourne. The company, which has more than 100 data centres around the world, has three existing facilities in Sydney and says the new ME1 data centre has been built to satisfy increasing demand in the Melbourne metropolitan area.
