The Federal Government has announced enhancements to the way telecommunications services are delivered in new developments, which it says are designed to provide people moving into new apartment and housing developments with better and cheaper access to high speed broadband services.
Broadband services provider CommScope has been selected by the New Zealand Ministry of Education (MoE) to help 2,500 schools meet the connectivity demands of its student populations, with the deployment of up to 38,000 Wi-Fi 6 access points and 12,000 Multi-gig switches.
National Broadband Network operator NBN Co has extended its offer to provide up to 40% additional capacity to Internet providers, at no extra cost, for another two months - through the June and July billing periods - as part of its support for telecommunications retailers during the COVID 19 pandemic.
