Optus has switched on its 100th mobile black spot tower, with a newly activated tower going live at the south east Queensland town of Boreen Point, as it works towards its goal of delivering a total of 47 mobile black spot sites across Queensland.
A landmark 750 new or improved mobile base stations have now been completed as the Australian Government’s mobile blackspot program to improve and enhance mobile phone coverage in regional and rural Australia continues to be rolled out.
Mobile phone coverage in the city of Shoalhaven in NSW has been boosted with new mobile towers switched on by Optus as it continues the national rollout its blackspot mitigation program.
