Global sales of smartphones to end users in the first quarter of 2018 have recovered from a slump last year, according to the latest report from Gartner, with Chinese brand Huawei closing the gap on Apple in the sales rankings.
Smartphone shipments fell by 6.3% on an annual basis in parts of Europe in the first quarter of 2018, the biggest drop in a single quarter, according to figures from the global technology market analyst firm Canalys.
Kantar's latest smartphone OS data shows Samsung S8 ranks first in Australia, followed by the iPhone 8, X and 8 Plus, with iOS share up to 40.6% as Android dips to 57.7%.
