The US Senate's Select Committee on Intelligence has invited WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange to testify before it in connection with its probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election.
The Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance, the union for journalists in Australia, does not appear to have anything to say about the plight of WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange who has been holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London for nearly six years and faces imminent expulsion.
Ecuador President Lenin Moreno has said he has no objection to the UK agreeing to extradite WikiLeaks' publisher Julian Assange to the US, if there is an understanding that he will not face the death penalty for his publishing of leaked US military secrets.
