Conficker likely to cause rise in spam levels

That devil of a Conficker worm that’s never far from the surface these days is likely to cause a significant increase in spam levels over the next three months, according to a report by yet another security firm that’s closely monitoring the worm’s exploits.
Security warnings about the impending Conficker worm attacks on computers around the globe have been with us for a while now, and as iTWire reported just a few days ago, while the predicted apocalypse didn’t engulf the world after all, the worm’s still out there.  But, be warned, we’re now in the midst of a new security threat of large-scale proportions, according to Kapersky!

Jetstar contracts Hostworks to manage website

In anticipation of growth over the next two years, Australian budget airline, Jetstar, has outsourced management of its website, Jetstar.com, to critical application management and hosting company, Hostworks.
