The Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) has warned that investor confidence in continued support for start-up businesses in the ICT sector, and across all parts of the economy, could take a hit if Commercialisation Australia falls victim to budget cuts in the Federal Government’s May budget.
There is “unprecedented potential” for emerging technologies to reshape how work gets done, how businesses grow, and how markets and industries evolve, according to an industry analyst who says CIOs are going to be preoccupied with data, mobile, social media, cyber-security and cloud services over the next two years.
