Cyber criminals have hit the website of leading retirement specialist Actuaries and Associates using the REvil ransomware and are threatening to leak the 2000-odd social security numbers they have collected of those who use the service.
On what appears to be big day for announcements about Windows ransomware attacks, a gang says it has used the Maze ransomware to attack the infrastructure of X-FAB, a foundry group based in Lubbock, Texas, that claims to be number one in the world for for analog/mixed-signal semiconductor applications. The company has already acknowledged the attack which was apparently carried out on 5 July.
Malicious attackers claim to have staged an attack on the website of Cooke County in Texas using the REvil ransomware and have posted screenshots of what they claim are documents and data from the county's police department on the dark web.
