Australia’s mobile services market will undergo significant change, with the advent of 5G driving price competition, according to a new report which estimates the number of 5G connections will reach more than 10 million by the end of FY2022. It also says at least one network operator will begin shutting down 3G services by 2020.
The latest research shows iPads dominate the Australian tablet with 46% market share, with sales up 6%, but while Windows tablets are up as Android tablets tumble, Windows market share barely beats Android at 29% vs 24%, respectively.
