It may take some time to digest this, but the the head of Sweden's telecommunications equipment vendor, Ericsson, is lobbying the government to lift ban on his main competitor, China's Huawei.
The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority says it plans to resume the country's 5G spectrum auctions on 19 January, after obtaining approval from a court to go ahead with the same, despite the fact that Chinese vendor Huawei Technologies has gone to court over being excluded from the auctions.
Sweden's 5G spectrum auctions have been put on hold after a court suspended sections of a decision that had excluded Chinese telecommunications equipment vendor Huawei Technologies from participating in the bids.
