Space telescope finds supersized Saturn ring

NASA announced on October 6, 2009, that its Spitzer Space Telescope has discovered another ring around the planet Saturn. And, it’s a big one. The thickness of the newly found ring would allow one billion Earths to be strung end to end.

NASA's Spitzer space telescope has been detecting infrared light from distant objects for over five years. But it has almost run out of the liquid helium which makes that possible by cooling the instruments to within 3 degrees of absolute zero.

You can re-name the GLAST space telescope for NASA

NASA is asking for suggestions from the peoples of Earth on a new name for its Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope.
