New Zealand telecommunications company Spark has not yet finalised what steps it would take to mitigate the concerns voiced by the country's intelligence agency GCSB over the use of gear from Chinese telecommunications equipment vendor Huawei Technologies in its 5G network.
New Zealand telco Spark has changed its plan for coverage of the Rugby World Cup tournament after it became apparent that some areas of the country would face difficulties in streaming the content due to a lack of bandwidth. The new plan will involve TVNZ broadcasting 12 games, most of which will be delayed.
New Zealand competition regulator, The Commerce Commission, has warned the country’s largest telco, Spark, over likely breaching of thelaw in a notification to customers on broadband prices rises.
