Security firm Sophos appears to be unaware that when one is in a hole, it is time to stop digging. Nothing else can account for the fact that when the company found itself with egg on its face over the WannaCry ransomware attack, it chose to try and "clarify" things.
Security companies around the world were falling over themselves during the last few days in order to try and eke some publicity out of the WannaCry Windows ransomware episode. While some managed to get a bit of the spotlight, one company that took a beating was Sophos.
Sophos has released an online Phish Threat Test to provide security awareness testing and training for end users whose behaviour is responsible for more than 90% of successful phishing attacks.
