The national broadband network has now extended its reach to one of Australia’s most remote territories – Macquarie Island, deep in the Southern Ocean and the base for the Australian Antarctic Division.
Communications services provider Ericsson partnered with IT services vendor Hills and infrastructure provider Skybridge to support the National Broadband Network connection of homes and business to its newly launched Sky Muster satellite broadband service.
The National Broadband Network has successfully launched its wholesale broadband satellite service Sky Muster which will bring fast broadband access to around 400,000 rural, regional and remote Australians.
