Job advertising increased markedly in May, with South Australia showing the largest job ad growth out of all states in the month, according to the latest jobs advertising report from recruitment firm SEEK.
Unsurprisingly, the number of online job advertisements have taken a mighty tumble in April, with the website SEEK reporting that ads fell 65.5% year-on-year and 49.9% compared to the March 2020 figures.
The information and communications technology jobs sector was absolutely hammered in March, listed among the top three sectors contributing to the decline in job ad numbers compared to the same month in 2019 as a result of the COVID-19 shutdown of the economy.
