The first grid scale battery in Victoria has been officially commissioned in Ballarat as part of the Victorian Government’s $50 million energy storage initiative in partnership with the Australian Renewable Energy Agency.
A company known as Chargefox will be provided with $6 million to help it set up 21 ultra-rapid charging stations for electric vehicles along major driving routes from Brisbane to Adelaide, including around Sydney and Melbourne, and separately in Western Australia.
