Debit card processor eftpos hasn't given up the fight against its multinational rivals. Its Product Roadmap 2021 Update outlines plans for mobile wallets, ecommerce, digital identity, APIs and fintech access, and QR codes.
Palo Alto's regional chief security officer for Asia Pacific, vice-president Sean Duca, has warned that cyber-attackers are devising ways to use QR codes to steal personal information.
Given the continuing COVID-19 outbreaks and fluctuating restrictions in Australia, security firm Avast is “urging individuals and businesses to be aware of the cyber threats around QR codes and potential COVID-19 vaccination online scams.”
