Australia's move from wallets to smartphones is making progress with a new deal announced today with the ALH Group, home to over 300 pubs.
It might get a bit messy in some restaurants, cafes and pubs around the country on the first day of August, this Friday, when signatures are officially abolished on all credit and debit card payments, to be replaced by PINs.
Perth has jumped on the Clipp bandwagon, with the smartphone app launched last year in New South Wales and Victoria available from today for use in over 30 of Western Australia’s pubs and bars.
