Computer manufacturer Dell has reset all passwords for accounts on its dell.com site, after it became aware on 9 November that an attempt to exfiltrate data was taking place.
A campaign has been launched by businesses, government and community organisations across Australia in a move designed to reverse the threat of cyber crime, as figures show that one in four Australians were hit last year.
Attacks on passwords continue to grow in number and complexity every year, but despite these threats, businesses have struggled to quantify their own level of password risk, according to a newly published report that also found that the insurance sector in Australia is doing the best in maintaining password security.
