Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Fiji are set to be the first Pacific countries to have access to more Australian television content delivered through the Australian Government’s PacificAus TV initiative.
Unified communications vendor Avaya has appointed 14-year company veteran Sami Ammous to Vice President for East Asia and the Pacific, responsible for managing its operations in Australia and New Zealand, ASEAN, Japan and Korea.
Telecommunications networking equipment, software, and services provider Ciena has been selected by Hawaiki Submarine Cable to upgrade technology to increase capacity on the cable connecting Australia, New Zealand and the US.
